Each article about any of SHERP’s vehicles is a true recognition of our hard and inspired work. Interesting Engineering, a great resource for all lovers of engineering, technology and science, has posted an article about our latest all-terrain and off-road vehicle SHERP the Ark.

«Sherp’s latest all-terrain and off-road vehicle can sit 22 people comfortably, making it unique in the market. Called the Ark, this beast of a vehicle can go pretty much anywhere.

20 years in the making

“It took us 20 years to develop a reliable amphibian all-terrain vehicle that can move on any surface and overcome the most difficult natural obstacles. The SHERP ATV is a reliable assistant for specialists who overcome natural difficulties as a part of their profession: geologists, oil workers, rescue agents, fishermen, hunters, extreme drivers, and travelers,” writes the company’s website.

The vehicle is built as a front four-wheeled automobile which pulls a trailer style carriage behind it. It weighs 4,300 kilograms, with a load capacity of 3,400 kilograms.

It has a top speed of 30 kilometers per hour on land which drops to 6 kilometers per hour in water. It can overcome obstacles of up to 1.5 meters.

It boasts a 40-degree approach and departure angle and can remain planted up to a 30-degree tilt. The Ark can tread boulders, fallen trees, gravel, sand, ford marshes, deep snow, water, and ice. It does so while maintaining an 82-hour fuel autonomy.

Handling emergencies

The Ark is specially equipped to handle emergencies. It can traverse up to a 40-degree obstruction and if you require more traction you can deflate or inflate the vehicle’s tires with a mere button.

If you get water in the vehicle’s cabin, you can simply shut off the air supply to the damaged peripheral to keep driving. There is also the option to use automatic pumps to remove the liquid.

Many are calling this vehicle the ideal end of days transportation and with good reason. It has all the benefits of the best all-terrain and off-road vehicles while sitting much more people.
